The new centre of Dąbrowa Górnicza has been designed as a “city in the city”, combining the historical buildings of factory halls with new buildings and giving them various functions: service, retail, office, cultural, residential ones. Clear layout, historical references and the dominance of greenery have been adapted to environmental concerns and to ideas of creating a safe and friendly place by taking into account the needs of all social groups: children, young people, people at working age, businessmen, senior citizens, people with disabilities. Final total area (retail, service, office and residential areas) of the whole project will be approx. 40 thousand sq. m.
